For a long time little or no useful help was available for men who wondered how to pick up women. The few books about this had a very limited practical value to get familiar with this complex ability. People used to think that pick ing up women can not be learned. Some men have it, most men don't and there's little you can do about it. With the Internet this has all changed.
Online male communities
Since the existence of the Internet we find online male communities that occupy themselves with seducing women. On forums they exchange hints about women, social psychology and self-development. Some develop into true ‘pick-up artists’: experts in seducing women.
Blockbuster 'Hitch'
The blockbuster movie 'Hitch' (2005) has made the dating coach a widespread phenomenon: someone who teaches men how to pick up the woman of their dreams. Best known line: any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet!
Bestseller 'The Game'
Also in 2005 the bestseller "The Game" introduced the secret society of pick-up artists: men that exchanged tips about self improvement and social psychology. It is the personal story of journalist Neil Strauss. He tells how he transformed from a timid, sexually frustrated nerd into a smooth, charming master pick-up artist in 2 years.
'The Pickup Artist'
In 2007 and 2008 the reality TV series 'The Pickup Artist' was broadcast. In the series 9 socially clumsy men challenge eachother in 8 episodes. Master pick-up artist Mystery teaches them the skills to successfully become the dream of all women.
Emerging service industry
Now there are a few hundred professional dating coaches worldwide. They teach men the road to success in picking up women and lifestyle. Men are often willing to pay hundreds or even thousands of Euros for training and coaching.
Different insights and approaches
Each of these dating coaches has its own unique approach. Many different insights exist. These vary between tricks for easy scoring and the development of a personality which is attractive for women. A ‘one size fits all’ does not exist. Some men benefit more from one approach, another fits other men better etc.

The focus of RMC is on developing the character, confidence and communication skills through which men become attractive to women. Thus the slogan is: be the man women dream of! We select a mix of these experts to present their ideas during the RMC.
